Pre-Independence Flags
The first unofficial Indian flag was hoisted in 1906 in Kolkata, featuring green, yellow, and red stripes. In 1921, a flag designed by Pingali Venkayya was presented to Mahatma Gandhi, which later evolved into the national flag.

Final Design:
Saffron (Top): Symbolizes courage and sacrifice. White (Middle): Represents peace and truth, with the Ashoka Chakra (wheel of law) in navy blue. Green (Bottom): Stands for growth and prosperity.
